Little Chicory Cups with Gorgonzola, Pears & Walnuts

This is a sweet savoury that hit we often look for. When naturally sweet Pear meets cheese it really is a match made in taste heaven! Simple, fresh, crunchy.

Ingredients

3 Pears
250g Gorgonzola Cheese
Chicory leaves
Walnuts, handful
Honey, runny, to drizzle

Method

Wash the chicory lightly, pat dry. Break into bite sized leaves like little cups to hold the cheese. Place on a plate. Wash the pears, slice very thinly, if you have a mandolin that would work well otherwise as thin as you can by hand. Place the slices in the chicory cups. Break up the cheese and put into the little chicory cups on top of the pear. Chop walnuts roughly but well, by hand. Sprinkle on to the cheese . Drizzle everything with honey. Enjoy.
